Ongoing Programs

The Lunchbox Lecture Series continues in 2008 at the Horace Williams House.

Bring your lunch, sit in our historic dining room, and listen to captivating, informative, and entertaining discussions led by staff and local experts on a variety of subjects. Lectures begin promptly at noon at the Horace Williams House. Space is limited so please call the Horace Williams House (919-942-7818) by noon of the day prior to reserve your seat; groups are welcome. There is a $5 suggested donation for each lecture. Our Mission

Founded in 1972, the Preservation Society of Chapel Hill actively campaigns to save Chapel Hill's historic, natural, and man-made landmarks. We have a long list of accomplishments thus far, but the increasing development in the Chapel Hill area continues to challenge us.

Our Services

The Preservation Society of Chapel Hill offers a wide range of attractions & services. The Horace Williams House is available for weddings, receptions, meetings, & other special events where the quality of the surroundings is as important as the quality of the event. The Horace Williams House functions as a cultural arts facility for the performing and visual arts and is open to the public Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM (some holidays excluded), and on Sundays from 1 PM to 4 PM. The art exhibits are free and are open to the public.
